The Forest Of Agart

Everyone must have come across the story of the Red Riding hood. The moral of the story was to never trust strangers and neither approach them for help. Once upon a time there lived a girl named Samantha. Her house was situated deep in the forest of “Agart”. The forest was so thick with trees and bushes that it was almost impossible to navigate ones way through it. The forest of Agart was isolated from the main city. People always used to ask the locals for guidance. Samantha was the cheerful and jolly girl, who used to help out people who were lost in the forest. Despite the fact that her mother was very wary of strangers, Samantha considered herself to be a helping hand for other people. One day, Samantha’s mother fell ill. Grudgingly, she had to send her daughter out to do the groceries from the city. She kept on explaining Samantha, how she was not supposed to talk to strangers. Samantha was clearly instructed to head out straight in the direction of the grocery store without talking to anyone else, buy the concerned items and come back without talking to anyone unnecessarily. Samantha sometimes wondered why her mother was so paranoid about strangers. She thought, “They’re mere strangers. They can’t hurt you”. She dismissed her mother’s concerned as overthinking and resolved to prepare for her trip to the grocery store. Samantha stood in front of the mirror and expressed a bit of vanity there. She praised herself for being cute and pretty. She quickly went over to the table, picked up her cloak and headed for the grocery store. On her way out of the store, she saw a man standing at the end of the road. He had chocolates and other candies n his hands. To Samantha he seemed like a really friendly man, but his intentions were the exact opposite of that. Samantha directly walked up to that man and asked for him to lend her a few chocolates. Sweet tooth was definitely her weakness. Samantha could not comprehend the evil intentions of the man. The man agreed to give her the chocolates if he allowed her to walk her to the grocery store. Samantha in her innocence agreed to it. After a while, she realized that the man was not walking her to the grocery store at all. She inquired from the man, “where are we going?”. The man kept his silence. The blaring sound of a siren was all she could hear inside her mind. Something seemed really fishy. She bolted away, but the man was a staunch fellow and got hold of her really quickly. That day Samantha had screamed at the top of her lungs. she threw her arms and feet at all directions, trying her best to get away from the man. Suddenly she felt the man lost his grip on her. He eventually dropped Samantha on the ground and after a few seconds fainted himself. Samantha saw that behind the man, stood her mother with a wooden log in her hand that she had struck the man with. Her mother embraced Samantha, despite being angry at her for not listening to her advice. Samantha realized that her mother’s concerns were valid and not mere paranoia.
